Text to Landline

Sending a Text-to-Landline message is just like sending a standard text message. Just create a text message from your Northwest Missouri Cellular phone, and address it to a 10–digit phone number as you would with a regular text message. Your text is converted to a voice message, which is automatically read to the recipient when he or she answers the phone. If the recipient does not answer the phone, your text message is stored as a voicemail, provided the recipients have voicemail service on their landline phone. Your recipient can also reply to your message.

This is what the landline customers will hear and experience:

  1. You have a message from ###-###-####. To hear this message, press 1.
  2. Press 1.
  3. Recipient listens to message. To reply, press 2. To disconnect call, press the star key. To hear message again, press 3.
  4. Press 2.
  5. Record your reply at the tone. When you are done, press 1. Press # to cancel recording.
  6. Recipient records reply and presses 1.
  7. Reply Sent; Goodbye & thank you for using Text-To-Landline.
  8. Press # during step 6
  9. Reply cancelled. To reply, press 2. To disconnect call, press the star key.
  10. Press 3 (after step 3)
  11. Recipient listens to message. To reply, press 2. To disconnect call, press the star key.
  12. Press *
  13. Goodbye & thank you for using Text-To-Landline.

This is how the Northwest Missouri Cellular customer will receive a reply message from a landline caller:

  1. This is a reply message from ###-###-####. Recipient listens to message. To hear message again, press 2. To disconnect call, press the star key.
  2. Press 2
  3. This is a reply message from ###-###-####. Recipient listens to message. Goodbye & thank you for using Text-To-Landline.
  4. Press *
